Carefree Boat Club of Central Virginia, part of a national operator offering “boating without owning,” has added a fourth location in its central Virginia footprint, through the acquisition of three slips at the Urbanna Boat Yard & Marina.

The boat club opens its Urbanna location for member use today. Urbanna is the first location for Carefree Boat Club in Virginia’s Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck region.

The club’s Urbanna location will provide options for boaters, ranging from the most recently launched Sailfish center console model, to a wide range of deck boats and bowriders. Members also can access Portside Grill on Urbanna Creek, as well as three waterfront apartments available for rent year-round.

Urbanna is the boat club’s second expansion this year. In March, the boat club established a presence at Anchor Point Marina in Hopewell.

Carefree Boat Club of Central Virginia also has locations on the James River in East Henrico and on Lake Anna.
