Car care center relocates to Gloucester Point

Make It Last, an auto care center, has relocated from White Marsh to Gloucester Point.

Tim McCoy of Naxera, who owns the business with his wife Danielle, said they lease a building with three service bays on Route 17, Gloucester Point, which housed several other auto repair shops in the past. Previously, they leased space in a building across from White Marsh Shopping Center that also includes a car wash.

McCoy said he is assisted in the service bays by Elizabeth Hershberger of Virginia Beach, who is apprenticing to become an automotive mechanic. Hershberger is a licensed practical nurse and also works at a Virginia Beach nursing home. Make It Last specializes in tire sales, McCoy said, as they sell seven different brands. Also offered are many types of car and light truck repair except for collision work.
