Bring on the food!

This event is so popular and so much a part of the American lifestyle, it’s not unthinkable to predict that one day the American dictionary will include these three words, probably hyphenated, Super-Bowl-Sunday. The definition: super football, super camaraderie, super foods.

There will be some good eating on Sunday around 6 p.m. in many homes as 100,000 (the capacity) spectators enter Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and approximately 93.2 million (last year’s count) get seated in front of their TVs. They will watch the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers compete for the world’s football championship. It’s the 45th Super Bowl.

Staff members of the Gazette-Journal have been testing what they may serve for Super Bowl Sunday, and they even gathered together to give it all a sampling. Now they are sharing it with you, the readers.
