Brew & Gold Café

With the closure of The Thrifty Spot at the start of this school year, another transition-to-work, on-site job training program for students with disabilities opened this week at Mathews High School. Housed in the former Head Start classroom, the Brew & Gold Café opened Monday, with school board members and county supervisors invited to take part in the grand opening. The café will be open for teachers and other staff members, providing them with a place to get a cup of coffee and give students with hands-on job experience.
