Brenda Sue Brainard, age 69, of Saluda, died at her home Feb. 2, 2019.

She was born Sept. 12, 1949 in Virginia, and was the daughter of George H. Wills and Mary Hazel (Johnston) Wills Pritt. 

Brenda owned and operated Sunshine Express Trucking Company for many years. She loved working in her yard, gardening, hummingbirds, traveling, animals, and spending time with friends but above all, her family was always first.

She is survived by husband, Edward H. Brainard; daughters, Kimberly Hazelgrove, Heather Johnson, Erica Lewis; grandchildren, Javon, Raychel, Taeyah, Tariq, Brandon, Katelyn, Elayna, Jackson; sisters, Mary Jane Tucker, Connie Bradley, Dreama Wills, Marlene Feckley, Georgeanna Ingram and Annetta Parks.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
