The classic horn band Brasswind will perform a tribute to the U.S. Armed Forces at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Flat Iron Crossroads, Gloucester. Now they perform songs from The Tower of Power, Chicago, James Brown, The Temptations, Buddy Miles, Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind & Fire, and others. Band members are, from left, Thom Sauber, Jacob Stith, David Walmsey Sr., Clayton Ives, Curtis Brown, Renee Kingan, Chris Ward, DaRon Walton and Eric Musselwhite. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with food by Positive Pizza and beverages from the FIX Bar. Tickets are $20 and are available at flatironcrossroads.com. The event will be outside, weather permitting. Those attending are invited to bring a lawn chair.
