Bonniville, Leming take Gloucester BOS seats; school board unknown

The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors will welcome three newcomers in January as Nicholas “Nick” Bonniville, Dr. Joseph “Joe” Leming and Shannon Hanson were elected during Tuesday’s election.
However, results for an at-large seat on the Gloucester County School Board are not yet official. According to registrar Bobbi Morgan, the contested race between Fred Brewer and S. Nicole McPherson was so close that her office will be having meetings to canvass ballots through next Wednesday, Nov. 12. Then the state Department of Elections has to certify the abstract votes.
Brewer is currently serving in the at-large seat on an interim appointment to finish the remainder of Deborah McDonough’s term, which is set to expire on Dec. 31 of this year.
As of Wednesday morning, McPherson was shown to have 7,356 votes (49.62 percent of the vote) with Brewer trailing slightly with 7,310 votes (49.31 percent of the vote).
