‘Boat Virginia’

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 66, Mathews, presented a “Boat Virginia” class on Saturday, Jan. 22, at the flotilla’s training center in Deltaville. Students received their lifetime Boating Education Certificate, satisfying state requirements that all operators of personal watercraft and motorboats of 10 horsepower or greater pass an approved boating safety education course. The course, sponsored by the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources, covers topics such as navigation rules, legal requirements, safety and good seamanship.
