For the first time since the start of the pandemic, the Gloucester Board of Supervisors will return to the colonial courthouse on Tuesday, starting at 7 p.m. Two public hearings are on the agenda.
The first will be to consider an ordinance to amend the zoning map to reclassify 1.85 acres in the Ware District from B-1 Business to B-2 Village Business. The purpose of the rezoning is to allow an existing structure of a former business to be renovated into a single-family home.
The second public hearing comes from the Virginia Department of Transportation and is on its proposed secondary six-year plan for fiscal year 2022 through 2027 and the secondary system construction budget for FY22 through FY27.
There will also be a request for a public hearing to obtain citizen input on the proposed agreement with Open Broadband, LLC. The proposal is to place wireless broadband equipment on county-owned properties.
