The Mathews High School varsity baseball team fell on the road Friday to Middlesex, 6-1, allowing the Chargers to clinch the Tidewater District season title. Daniel Moughon, above, pitched the entire game for the Devils. Mathews was scheduled to travel to Charles City on Wednesday to face the Panthers and host Washington and Lee today in a 5 p.m. contest to close out the regular season.
