Bin store by day, live auction house on Saturday nights

A new business, Bin Haven Auctions, opened recently in the York River Crossing Shopping Center in Hayes, next to the Food Lion. James Hershberger and his fiancée Sarah Roseveare, opened the doors to the bin store and auction house at the end of March.
“It’s a bin store during the week, Monday through Friday, and then Saturday we’re open at different hours,” said Hershberger. Weekday hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and each day the price for items decreases until dollar day on Thursday, when merchandise is reloaded. Fridays are $10 days, Saturdays are $8 days, Mondays are $6 days, Tuesdays are $4 days, Wednesdays are $2 days, and Thursdays are the store’s $1 days.
“Merchandise switches out daily,” said Hershberger. “We have loads that come in probably once or twice a month and it can vary from anything, it just depends on the type of load we get.”
The truck loads come from big box retailers. “We’re allowed to pull from all of the big box retailers: Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target, Dillar...
