Big red drum biting in the bay

Big red drum catches—and releases, as required by law over 26 inches—have gathered citations for local anglers. The minimum citation size is 46 inches.
Recent winners of red drum citations, as reported in the July 16 vasaltwaterjournal.com, are:
Jackson Moore of Gloucester, 52-inch fish, caught July 4 in Chesapeake Bay;
Keith Nuttall of Gloucester, 46-inch fish and 48.5-inch fish, both caught July 3 at Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel;
Noah Brown of Gloucester, 48.5-inch and 46-inch fish, both caught July 3 at Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.
Other citations newly reported include the following:
Christopher Hudgins of Hartfield, 7-pound flounder, caught July 3 at Triangle Wrecks;
Michael M. Mahler of Hayes, blueline tilefish citations for two 11-pound, 3-ounce fish, caught July 6 at The Fingers;
Robert D. McCombs of Gloucester Point, 11-pound, 15-ounce blueline tilefish, caught July 6 at The Fingers; and.
Ross Hubbard of Gloucester, 16-pound, 10-ounce sheepshead, caught June 28 in Mobjack Bay...
