Bethel places at WHRO Great Computer Challenge

Students at Bethel Elementary School competed at the 37th annual WHRO Great Computer Challenge on May 14. Competitors include, front row from left, Delaney Layton, Ava Hinton, Aubrey Lord, Delaney Wiggs, Mason Roberts; second row, Lacey Donnelly, Liam Kennedy, Connor Addleman, Greyson Hogan; back row, Aidyn Noe, Harper Hardaway, technology teacher Tara Lord, third grade teacher Jessica Clarke, paraprofessional Lisa Witt, Kyle Young, Eli Johnson and Jonathan Talbot.

All five of the Bethel Elementary School teams competing in the 37th annual WHRO Great Computer Challenge on May 14 were recognized for their work in this virtual event.

Awarded third places were the Graphic Design, Desktop Publishing, Internet Scavenger Hunt, and Scratch (block coding/programming) teams. An Honorable Mention was given to the Desktop Presentation team.

Ava Hinton, Delaney Layton and Lacey Donnelly competed in Graphic Design; Delaney Wiggs, Aubrey Lord and Harper Hardaway competed in Desktop Publishing; Liam Kennedy, Jonathan Talbot and Mason Roberts competed in Scratch; Connor Addleman, Kyle Young and Aidyn Noe competed in Internet Scavenger Hunt; and Eli Johnson and Greyson Hogan competed in Desktop Presentations.

The teams were coached by Bethel staff members Tara Lord, Jessica Clarke and Lisa Witt.
