Being prepared for the worst-case scenario is important when it comes to feeling secure. If you have a financial struggle that puts you in a spot of being unable to pay your bills, there are resources that can help.
Stephanie Todd at the Gloucester branch of the Salvation Army sat down to explain what to expect if you ever need to come into her office, and ways to help budget to keep your cost of living manageable.
“What happens is a client will call me, or they will walk in, and I ask what assistance they need,” Todd said. “They will go to my resource hub in the waiting room; they’ll get the appropriate applications. The applications are a five minute or less affair to fill out. Clients need to bring an ID, their proof of income, and they need to bring proof of residence.”
