The Mathews Branch NAACP 7090 donated a copy of the book “Be Strong” written by Pat Zietlow Miller and illustrated by Jen Hill to each of Mathews Elementary School’s first-grade students. Edith Turner organized the event, and read the story to the students. Cynthia Hayes and Terry Dixon came to MES to help with the distribution. Above, Hayes passes out the books to the students....
