Two Baystars youth soccer teams celebrated winning weekends.
Hurricanes
The U10 Hurricanes traveled to Centerville Sports Complex on Saturday to defeat Chesapeake Soccer Club Galaxy Gold, 1-0. The first half of the game was scoreless with goalkeeper Gabriel Franklin making two saves. In the second half, Jep Doley scored the sole goal of the game, assisted by Franklin. Spencer Leigh saved all four Galaxy shots in the goal during the second half.
The Hurricanes are looking to add a few more players for the spring season. Tryouts for the fourth grade team will be held the week of Oct. 20. Check the Baystars website and social media accounts for signups.
Tigersharks
The U12 Tigersharks defeated the Beach F.C. Raiders, 5-2, on Saturday. Down five players at kickoff, the Tigersharks trailed, 1-0, at the half.
