Several Baystars youth soccer teams took wins on the field over the weekend.
Captains
The U14 Captains took a decisive, shutout victory over Chesapeake United, 14-0, over the weekend. Jackson Scalf, Austin Sutton, Brayden Brown, Fen Strack, Dylan Andersen and Tyler Byrne all scored goals. Assists were provided by Gabe Wolford, Brown, Carter Jackson, Sutton, Dean Christensen, Scalf, Ayden Lockett and Brek Chavis.
Hurricanes
The U10 Hurricanes traveled to Hampton Roads Soccer Complex in Virginia Beach on Saturday to beat the Beach FC Vipers, 2-0. Declan Long scored the first goal with an assist by Theo Collins. Jack Sheridan scored the second point for the Hurricanes into the upper corner of the goal from just outside of the goalkeeper’s box. He was assisted by Braiden Fry.
The shutout win was successful, in part, due to goalkeepers Gabriel Franklin and Spencer Leigh who recorded six and four save, respectively.
Rockfish
The U19 Rockfish beat the Tidewater Sharks Elite at Warhill Sports ...
