Baystars Kraken 11U team goes 2-2 in Lancaster tourney

The Baystars Kraken 11U baseball team played in the Northern Neck Wood Bat Invitational tournament at Dream Fields in Lancaster over the weekend playing in four games and winning two of them.

On Friday, the Kraken fell to Rockit Sports, 10-2. The highlights of the tough loss were Gage Mukcahy who went 2-2 at the plate, and Kaiden Williams who had two stolen bases.

Not to be defined by the past day, the Kraken took down the Western Branch Bruins, 3-2, on Saturday. The winning run was scored in the sixth inning by William Rousseau who, after doubling to right field, made it to home plate on a wild pitch. In the win, Shager was the starting pitcher and only allowed three hits, two runs and four innings while striking out five.

On Sunday, the Kraken played twice, losing the first game to the Bruins, 6-3. In the second game of the day, The Kraken beat the Venom, 10-7.
