Several Baystars youth soccer teams took wins on the field in recent action.
Hurricanes
The U10 Hurricanes defeated the Western Branch FC Dragons Fire, 4-0, on Oct. 18 in Chesapeake.
Early in the first half, Theo Collins scored with an assist from Declan Long. Just minutes later, Jep Doley scored off a corner kick sent from Long. Jack Sheridan then took the ball from the opposing team and scored, catching the goalkeeper off guard. Doley scored again in the second half.
Braiden Fry led the defense for the Hurricanes, preventing the Dragons from scoring. Gabriel Franklin and Spencer Leigh shared goalkeeping duties, recording several saves each.
The Hurricanes will play their final match of the season on Nov. 1 at Woodville Park. They will host Rush Peninsula.
Threshers
