Bay School Miniature Art Show opens Friday

The Bay School Community Arts Center’s Miniature Art Show will open with a reception at 5 p.m. Friday at the gallery on Main Street in Mathews.

All artwork in the exhibit is small enough to fit into the palm of a hand, said a press release, with no piece exceeding six inches. The works, include small hanging art, jewelry, sculpture, pottery and decorative pieces. Nine artists are included in the exhibit.

Artist of the Month

Timothy Dooley, the Bay School’s featured artist for the month of June, has a large selection of his retro lamps on display. He turns vintage memorabilia into one-of-a-kind pieces of art, said the release.

Both exhibits may be viewed in person or online at bayschool-arts.com.

The Bay School is a non-profit community art school and art gallery that offers monthly shows, classes for all ages and skill levels, regional and local art, and community outreach programs.
