Bay School art auction/gala to be held Sept. 27

Bidding is open for the Bay School Community Arts Center’s art auction, being held in concert with the center’s annual gala, to be held on Sept. 27 at Brighton Farm, Port Haywood, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Prizes include a wide range of pieces of 2D, 3D and fabric art, as well as baskets containing collections of themed items: “Une Jeune Artiste” with a variety of art supplies, “Weaving History through Art” with Mathews memorabilia and various books on Mathews history, and “A Night in Paris” with art items related to the famous city.
Also at auction are various “experiences,” such as a photography session, a bourbon tasting, a dinner at Porter’s on Main, a stay at The Inn at Tabbs Creek, a fishing trip on the Chesapeake Bay, and various trips to other locales, including weeklong tours of the “Gems of Europe,” the “Gems of Mexico,” and the “City of Lights” (Paris).
