Author to speak to Writer’s Guild Friday in Urbanna

Award-winning author Ann Eichenmuller will be the guest speaker at a meeting of the Writers Guild of Virginia at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Urbanna Harbor Gallery & Art Services, 2025 Virginia Street.
Happy hour will be held earlier, from 4-5:30 p.m., offering live music by Eric Eichenmuller, along with hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine. The evening is free and open to the public.
Eichenmuller is known for her compelling storytelling and insightful narratives, said a press release. Her marine articles have appeared in “All at Sea,” “Chesapeake Style,” and “Chesapeake Bay Magazine,” earning her four Boating Writers International Awards. A camping enthusiast and lover of vintage things, she is also the creator of “Motorhome Magazine’s” “Classic Ride” column and is the author of “The Writing Rx,” “Foo’s Way Home,” “There When Needed: A History of Smith Point Sea Rescue” and the Sandi Beck murder mystery series.
