Author discusses his historical novel at SAR meeting

The Richard Henry Lee Chapter of the Virginia Society, Sons of the American Revolution, hosted its first luncheon meeting of 2026 on March 10 at Historic Christ Church, Weems. Chris Yohn, past president of the Richmond Chapter SAR, spoke on “Liberty’s Land,” a historical novel recently released which Yohn wrote. The book chronicles the courage and harsh realities of Pennsylvania patriots who dared to stand for the American cause in the rugged, unforgiving Pennsylvania frontier of the mid to late-1700s, a release said. The meeting also included induction of new members Sean Bowles, Thomas Leitch and Darrel Longest, and a memorial service for recently deceased member Peter Granville Knight. The next RHLC luncheon meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 14, at Historic Christ Church.
