Auditions to be held for ‘Princess Party Smackdown’

Auditions for the short comedy “Princess Party Smackdown” will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Gloucester Library, Main Street Center. A second audition will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, at a location that has yet to be determined.

An assemblage of actors who entertain at children’s parties are hired for one party, including five princesses and a weird alien characer. The ensuing improv show leads to bloody noses and possibly an alien takeover of the planet.

Up to 15 actors are needed, all age and gender flexible, in the production sponsored by the Gloucester Arts Festival. There will be one performance of the show, on June 4, during the festival.

For more information, contact Carolyn Molly, the show’s director, at 804-815-1734.
