Attorney to discuss VA claims at forum

Area veterans who need to file claims for disability compensation and pensions can learn more about the process by attending a free Veterans’ Disability Claims Forum at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, at the Piankatank Ruritan Club, 7138 Buckley Hall Road, Hudgins.

Attorney Tom Kiely and his legal staff will be on hand to discuss what is needed to support a claim and what options are available when a veteran disagrees with the decision of the Veterans Administration.

Following a presentation, general questions will be discussed as time permits.

Kiely enlisted in the Navy and is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, said a press release. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps and as an Army aviator, and retired as an Army attorney. He exclusively practices in the field of Veterans’ Disability Law.

Attendance at the forum “does not imply any obligation by the veteran or any representation by the attorney,” said the release.
