Arts on Main is offering two unique classes this month at its Gloucester Main Street gallery: “Cozy Italian Cooking” and “Pastel Techniques.”
Cozy Italian Cooking with Lorraine Ward-Walsh will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday. The class is for those who want to brush up on the culinary arts.
Participants will learn to cook a tasty Tuscan feast. Ward-Walsh will demonstrate the execution of the same recipes that she prepared while working at Ristorante Sabatini in Florence, Italy. The class encompasses foundational cooking principles and examines how to dress the dishes up or down, as desired.
The menu will consist of a salad with a vinaigrette dressing, panzerotti with an enriched béchamel sauce, and a rustic apple tart. Participants will leave the class with printed recipes and three dishes to take home.
The class is for adults only and requires a minimum of four and a maximum of five students. Masks and food preparation gloves are required. The cost is $85....
