‘Crickets on a Hill’ auditions Sunday Auditions for the musical “Crickets on a Hill” will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Cobbs Creek Arts Center, 61 Cobbs Creek Lane, Cobbs Creek. Sponsored by the Mathews VA250 Committee and produced by the Court House Players, the show is slated for six performances in July as part of the national celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Men and women of all ages are needed. There will be active roles for children aged 12 and older, but limited opportunities for children ages 6-12. Those aged 12 and older auditioning for a singing role must be ready to sing about 1 minute of a prepared song that shows their voice and range. Bring karaoke-type background music on a CD, iPod, cell phone, etc. There are also non-singing roles. For more information, visit courthouseplayers.org/shows.
