All-Beethoven chamber music concert Sunday
The Northern Neck Orchestra’s 2025-2026 Chamber Music Series begins Sunday with two string trios by a youthful Ludwig van Beethoven that reflect the delicacy of the Classical period with a hint of the passionate intensity of the composer’s later works.
The concert at Good Luck Cellars, 1025 Good Luck Road in Kilmarnock, at 2 p.m. features Beethoven’s “String Trio No. 1 in E-flat major” and “String Trio No. 2 in G major.
Tickets for the performance are $35. Season tickets for the four-concert chamber music series are $112. Tickets may be purchased online at www.northernneckorchestra.org or at the door. Students are admitted free with an online reservation
Bluegrass in Urbanna
Bluegrass and classic country music will return to the Urbanna Firehouse, 355 Virginia Street, on Saturday for a 7 p.m. jam session.
Musicians will come to play and sing, a couple will dance and others will come to listen to the evening’s sounds.
