Area Realtors joining into one shared database

The Chesapeake Bay & Rivers Association of Realtors multiple listing service, CBRAR Property Services, Inc. (CBRAR MLS), is joining two other Virginia associations to form one shared database. The associations joining will be the Richmond Association of Realtors and Williamsburg Area Association of Realtors.

The shared database will be known as The Commonwealth Multiple Listing Cooperative. The conversion is going into effect this month, said Alice Hazelwood, CEO of the local association. Included currently in the CBRAR MLS listing service are listings on the Middle Peninsula, Northern Neck, and surrounding areas.

Chesapeake Bay & Rivers listings will be added to the Richmond database in February and listings from the Williamsburg association will be added to the Richmond database before the end of the first quarter of this year.

Each of the three multiple listing services will retain its separate corporate identity, even though their listings will be shared on the same data...
