Arts on Main will have an opening for its annual Small Works Show and Holiday Marketplace during First Friday, to be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. this Friday, Dec. 5, at the gallery on Main Street in Gloucester.
The free event will include live music performed by Hunter Owens and a gallery-wide display of floral interpretations by the Sogetsu School of the Middle Peninsula. There will be light hors d’oeuvres, and wine and beer will be available for purchase by cash or credit card.
The show and marketplace will focus on small, affordable works that are perfect for holiday gift-giving, said a press release. In the Small Works Show, which will be on display in the front gallery and gateway gallery, each piece of art will be 12” x 12” or smaller.
The Holiday Marketplace will be set up on tables throughout the gallery and will feature a variety of items, said the release, including paintings, prints, wood, glass, pottery, fiber, and more.
