Gloucester resident Susan Ammons recently started work as Gloucester’s new Tourism Coordinator.

Ammons hit the ground running, working to revamp Gloucester Tourism’s social media platforms. Those who follow “Visit Gloucester Virginia” on Facebook or “visitgloucesterva” on Instagram may have already noticed more content being posted on the channels—all highlighting upcoming events or some of the activities the county has to offer that may be of interest to residents and visitors.

“I am so excited to be Gloucester County’s new Tourism Coordinator,” Ammons said. “I cannot wait to get to work on new projects and begin developing relationships with those in the community.”

Ammons’s background is in marketing and event planning, and she formerly worked with real estate and construction in Virginia and South Carolina. Her bachelor’s degree from ECPI is in computer science and cyber security.
