Aeronautical group to meet next week

The Northern Neck–Middle Peninsula chapter of the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society will hold its monthly buffet lunch meeting next Thursday, April 16, at the Pilot House Restaurant, adjacent to Hummel Field Airport on Route 3 in Topping. The program begins with a meet-and-greet at 11:30 a.m., followed by buffet lunch at noon and the program at 12:30 p.m. Steve Walton, CEO and founder of AERY Aviation at Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport, will be this month’s speaker. His career spans more than 45 years in aerospace. His degree is in aerospace engineering from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and he is a Navy veteran. Upcoming speakers include Richard Genaille, president at the state level of VAHS, in May, and Dr. Rob Gates, president of Dahlgren Heritage Foundation in June.
