Carol L. Rogers, 82, of Gloucester, passed away on October 25, 2026. Born on June 10, 1944 to Milton Rogers and Elsie Morgan Rogers, she grew up in both Mathews and Gloucester. A D.C. resident for 58 years, she was a distinguished communications executive and a Professor at Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. She retired in 2014 and became the first Professor of the Practice Emerita in Merrill College history. Arrangements are being handled by Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, with visitation on November 6 from 6-7:30 p.m. The funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Mathews Chapel United Methodist Church, Hudgins, at 11 a.m.
