The United Methodist Women of Central United Methodist Church initiated a Congregation Food Basket Challenge in October to benefit the Hands Across Mathews Food Bank. They put baskets on the left and the right sides of the church, and a friendly competition ensued to see which side would fill the basket with the most food items. Every Sunday in October each basket was filled and delivered. Ultimately, the right side won, but the big winner was the Hands Across Mathews Food Bank, with 563 food items delivered....
