“The Artists of Arts on Main,” an exhibit celebrating the talents of gallery artists, will open with a First Friday reception from 5:30-7:30 p.m. this Friday, Oct. 2, at Arts on Main, 6580 Main Street, Gloucester. It is free and open to the public. The show features pieces from over 50 artists who display and sell their work at Arts on Main year-round, said a press release. The artists have applied for and been juried into the nonprofit arts organization’s gallery based on the quality of their work and artistic backgrounds. They range from full-time, award-winning artists with international recognition to part-time artists who produce works as a break from other careers. While some are relatively new arrivals, others have been part of the Arts on Main art family for more than a decade.
