The Dave Marchant Virginia Veterans Tournament was held on Aug. 28 at the Piankatank River Golf Club, Hartfield, hosted by Assembly 3349 of the Knights of Columbus. The event in named for Dave Marchant who led the Assembly in Topping at the time of his death in 2020. Proceeds benefit the Virginia Veterans Services Foundation, which in turn supports the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Veterans Services. Both address the needs of those who have served and their families. Sixty-four participants enjoyed a picture-perfect course. The tournament committee wishes to thank the staff of the Piankatank Golf Club and the many volunteers who made this a memorable event.
