Susan Marie Pittman, 78, of Gloucester, Virginia, peacefully passed away on June 24, 2026.

Born on January 25, 1948 in Haverhill, Massachusetts, Susan was the beloved daughter of the late William and Florence O’Brien. She later made Virginia her home, where she built a life centered on faith, family, and love.

Susan shared a devoted marriage of 52 years with her husband, William P. Pittman Jr. Together they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories.

She was a loving mother to her three sons, Derek Scalese, Brian Pittman (Suzanne), and Kevin Pittman. Nothing brought Susan greater joy than being “Nana” to her grandchildren, Morgan, Addison, and Parker Pittman. Her family was the center of her world.

Susan was a faithful member of Second Presbyterian Church and a devoted homemaker. She loved being with her family and friends, enjoyed spending time at the pool, and was known for her beautiful smile and kind, gentle spirit.

Susan’s love, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered always by those who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
