On June 8 and 9, four Piankatank River Ladies’ Golf Association members participated in a Virginia State Golf Association event at the Bay Creek Resort on the Eastern Shore. On Monday in individual stroke play gross, Nina Carter placed second and Chrystal Welch tied for third. In individual stroke play net, Welch placed first and Christi Lewis placed third.
