Garden Club of Gloucester, Mathews holds 98th annual meeting

The Garden Club of Gloucester and Mathews held its 98th annual meeting on June 3 at the home of Brownie Bartley. This year’s outgoing president, Lynne Manning, and many of the club’s past presidents participated in “passing the gavel” to new incoming president, Leslie Belvin. “We welcome and support Leslie these next two years as GCGM looks forward to exciting new initiatives under her leadership,” said Manning. “We were also gratified that so many of our past presidents joined us at our annual meeting.” The annual meeting also included the awards ceremony where outstanding members were recognized for their contribution to the club. This year, the club’s most prestigious award, the Toddsbury President’s Cup, was awarded to Carol Nyce and Betsy Poulsen for their contributions, leadership and community involvement in the club.
