6-0 Deltas sit alone atop leaderboard

The Deltaville Deltas vaulted into sole possession of first place over the weekend, winning both of their games to improve to 6-0 on the season. After the Tappahannock Tides and Richmond Team Woody dropped their first National Adult Baseball Association games of the season, Deltaville sits atop the league leaderboard once again.

The Deltas face their harshest week of baseball this week, playing five games in eight days, including four road contests. On Tuesday, the Deltas traveled to Richmond to take on the Smokies (results were not available at press time). Tonight, the Deltas returned to Richmond to face the 4-2 Brewers, followed by another road game Friday night at Tappahannock. 

On Saturday night, the Deltas return home for a non-league showdown with the Virginia Marlins. The Danville-based collegiate travel team features a roster comprised of college baseball players from across the Mid-Atlantic, as well as players from the organization’s Native American National Team...
