Three local fishermen have received citations from the Virginia Saltwater Fishing Tournament as reported in the latest update from vasaltwaterjournal.com. All the prize-winning fish were speckled trout, caught as follows: Charles Thomas Akins of Dutton, caught a 7-pound trout measuring 28.25” on June 17 in the East River; Hunter Johnson of Dutton, caught a 6-pound, 9-ounce trout measuring 27” on June 16 in the North River; and, Alexander C. Stuart of Cobbs Creek, caught a 7-pound, 2-ounce trout measuring 27.5” on June 9 in the East River....
