Christchurch School golf team captain Pierce Lambert, who graduated on May 28, placed second in the VISAA Division II State Championship at Meadowbrook Country Club in Richmond. Lambert posted a score of 71, one stroke behind the winner. His score included three birdies. There were 40 players in the Division II flight. Tim Roscher is the golf coach, and the team’s home course is Piankatank River Golf Club. Lambert, who is the son of Buzz and Robin Lambert of Hartfield, is shown on senior day with his mother and grandfather, Johnny Fleet.
