Mathews resident Allen Farmer is sponsoring a voter registration drive to reach out to people who support Second Amendment rights, especially those who supported the Mathews County 2A Sanctuary Resolution passed by the board of supervisors last December.

The drive will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Piankatank Ruritan Club at Hudgins.

Farmer said he is a supporter of President Donald Trump, Rep. Rob Wittman, and Senate candidate Daniel Gade. He emphasized that voter registration ends on Tuesday, and he urged Mathews residents “who care about their Second Amendment rights” to make sure they’re registered.
