2015 marked 40 years for Andrews Funeral Home in Gloucester

 

2015 was a very eventful year for Gerald L. “Jerry” Andrews of Gloucester.

It marked the 40th year that a Gloucester funeral home has been known as Andrews Funeral Home. Jerry succeeded his parents, the late Jack and Frances Andrews, as owner of the funeral home, located on Main Street, Gloucester Court House, in 2012. 

On a personal note, the Virginia Funeral Directors Association recently recognized Jerry as Funeral Director of the Year. Jack Andrews received that award in 1996.

The Gloucester business now operates as Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory. The on-site crematory service began in May 2014.

Jerry is president of the company and his wife, Ann, is vice president. Justin Russ of Gloucester, their son-in-law, works there full-time and also attends mortuary school at John Tyler Community College in Chester.
