The second annual Gwynn’s Island Raw Bar Run, hosted by the Mathews Outdoor Club and The Hatchery, welcomed 125 runners to a sunny Saturday morning. The top male and female finishers of this year’s 5K were Chris Burns (17:59) and Haley Uliasz (21:55), respectively. This is the second year that Uliasz has won the women’s competition. Race volunteers, including representatives from the Mathews YMCA and Mathews County Sheriff’s Office, helped support road safety during the 5K. After the race, runners and their families were able to enjoy an Easter egg hunt, live music by Lilah Moons, craft beverages, an oyster raw bar and food from The Hatchery food truck....
