‘Zooming In On Lancaster County History’ begins Nov. 19

The Lancaster Virginia Historical Society will hold “Zooming In On Lancaster County History: Thursdays at 3,” a biweekly virtual speaker series beginning Nov. 19.

“Each event will be a 30-45 minute Zoom webinar featuring local authors, researchers and historians,” LVHS board member and series coordinator Lois Williams said.“The presentations will include slides and visuals and the opportunity for interactive Q&A with the speaker. Our first seven programs are planned through February and we have many more topics and speakers in mind,” she added. “Some of the presentations will highlight new publications and research, while others will revisit popular topics from past museum exhibits and author talks.”

The speaker series is free for LVHS members and $5 per program for the public. All viewers must register for each webinar separately at www.mkt.com/maryball or 804-462-7280, and will need a valid email address. According to Williams, even after a program has aired live, attendee...
