ZACHARY LEE TAYLOR

Zachary Lee Taylor, 28, of Cobbs Creek, died suddenly Feb. 8, 2013.

When most people thought of Zachary, they thought of “music.” Words cannot describe the loss we feel at the sudden illness and death of our son, husband, brother, grandchild, cousin and friend.

Zachary will be joining his grandfathers, Robert Lowe and Clarence Taylor Jr., and his grandmother, Nancy Taylor, in heaven.

Left on this earth to mourn his loss are his bride of seven years, Katherine Davidson Taylor; his parents, Rusty and Rhonda Taylor; in-laws, Tom and Ann Davidson; sisters, Caitlin and Sally; grandmother, Vondine Lowe; aunts, Peggy Bowers and Lisa Lowe; uncles, Dennis Bowers, Mike and Daniel Lowe; dog, Sunny, and countless cousins, friends and Christian brothers and sisters.

Zachary loved music. His talents graced the services at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Cobbs Creek and entertained fans in bands “Splint,” “Ten Years From Now,” and “Broken Momentum.” He wrote and produced several collections of songs that shared his generous heart. From infancy, Zachary never knew a stranger, only a friend he had not yet met. His songs live on, as does the love we all share for him and from him.

Zachary’s Christian faith was a great source of comfort and strength to those who knew him. He loved the Lord and now rests in His Savior’s loving arms.

A Celebration of Life service conducted by the Rev. Scott Pond and the Rev. Eric Robinson was held at 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 11, 2013. at Yorktown Baptist Church, 237 Nelson Street, Yorktown, Va. 23690. The family received friends Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, from 4-5:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.

In Zachary’s memory, contributions may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church, 3601 Buckley Hall Road, Cobbs Creek, Va. 23035.
