Yvonne Riley Deagle, 79, of Mathews, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at Riverside Convalescent Center- Mathews after a long, difficult fight against Multiple Sclerosis.

She was born to Cecil and Mabel Riley on Aug. 6, 1937 at their home in Bena. Yvonne was a very devoted daughter to her parents. Yvonne was a school bus driver for Mathews County Public Schools for over 40 years. She impacted the lives of many children over the years and she loved every one of them very much.  

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Eddie Deagle.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Wroten-Thompson and husband Bobby; grandson, James Jarvis and wife Julie; granddaughter, Amanda Wroten; great-granddaughter, Melanie Jarvis, and former son-in-law, Capt. Dale Wroten. 

Visitation was held on Sunday, Nov, 6, 2016, from 1-2 p.m. at Church of the Nazarene, Hudgins, Virginia. A funeral service followed at 2 o’clock also at the church. Burial was in St. Paul Annex, Susan, Virginia.

Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, was in charge of the arrangements.
