Yummy recipes emerge at Gloucester Library’s Cookbook Club meetings

Perhaps you remember the award-winning Broadway play and the movie version of “Under the Yum Yum Tree” in 1963. Or you might have tried the light, sweet and tangy Japanese Yum Yum sauce.

But if you haven’t heard about the Yum Yum Cookbook Club meeting at the Gloucester Library, then you don’t really know the full definition of yum yum, which is an exclamation used to express pleasure about eating.

Yum Yum Cookbook Club began in 2021 under the direction of Lisa Thomas. “I couldn’t even have thought about this program without the continued support and help of Chris Thomas and with the support of Friends of the Library.” Due to the Covid epidemic original plans were changed and it could be said it was for the best.

“It is designed to be a learning and educational program mostly for adults,” explains Lisa. “We meet once a month, and pre-registration with a program title is offered each time.”
