YRC Cinemas undergoes renovations

YRC Cinemas at Hayes has undergone renovations recently with more to come, manager Allen Smith said.

Smith, who has headed the eight-theater complex for nine years, said that changes are being made to enhance customers’ movie-going experiences. For example, a new digital box office posts all movie showings and electronic signs let customers track if a theater is being cleaned, if seating is underway or a movie is already showing.

A new outdoor marquee is being installed this month, as well as two ticket kiosks where customers with credit cards can get tickets in 10 seconds instead of waiting for a box office attendant.

New carpet has been laid in all the theaters, as well as the halls and lobby, Smith said and new rocking seats will be installed in late summer or early fall.
